Both indicator lights and warning lights provide you with information about your vehicle. Indicator lights, however, are all about providing information on aspects of your vehicle that are in use as you drive. Turn signals are another common indicator light that informs you that they’re being used. Dashboard warning lights let drivers know that something may not be functioning correctly within their vehicle. The check engine light is a light that looks like a MINI Cooper engine. This light is yellow and will turn on for a few reasons, including misfiring in the engine or emission deterioration. When this light comes on, visit a service centre as soon as possible. An engine left functioning incorrectly for too long can cause severe damage.
If your MINI Cooper senses a potential forward collision, it will warn you via a red warning light shaped like the front of a car. This light will flash if an accident is imminent. The solid version of the light recommends you increase the distance from the vehicle ahead.
Brake system issues have two warning lights. One is the word BRAKE, and the other is an exclamation point inside a circle with parenthesis. This indicates that your vehicle’s brake system is impaired or needs to be checked by a technician immediately.
