When your MINI requires an oil change, a check control message will immediately appear on your Control Display. In addition to following these display prompts, you should also follow these recommended service intervals: • About Every 8,046 Kilometers—Oil Change • About Every 16,093 Kilometers—Tire Rotation • About Every 4 to 5 Years—Tire Replacement By sticking to your maintenance schedule, you can extend the life of your MINI for many years and kilometers.
When it comes to maintaining your MINI car, you can often schedule service and inspections for several things at once. Oil changes are one of the most frequent types of maintenance, which makes them a helpful marker. As a general guide, you can replace the following parts at each of these oil change intervals: • Every 2nd Oil Change—Replace the ventilation microfilter and remote-control key battery • Every 4th Oil Change or 64373 Kilometers—Replace the intake air cleaner • Every 6th Engine Change or 96560.64 Kilometers—Replace the spark plugs MINI also recommends owners check the following periodically, such as when you are filling up your gas tank: coolant level, engine oil level, brake fluid level, washer fluid level, and tire conditions (pressure, condition, and wear). If you notice any of the fluids are low or discoloured or that your tire pressure is low, you can schedule a maintenance appointment.
